You can become younger next year.
Dr. Henry S. Lodge
Have You Forgotten How Good You Can Feel?
A lot of what I thought was aging (feeling tired, stiffness, headaches, joint pain and depression) was nothing of the sort. Instead, I was suffering from surplus body fat and sustained inactivity. Why, if the refrigerator hadn’t been 20 feet from the sofa, I wouldn’t have gotten any exercise at all.
Along comes Dr. Henry S. Lodge who confirms in his book, Younger Next Year, the common mistake I made… Continue

IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, TRY, TRY, AGAIN.

It overcomes almost everything, even nature.
Effort only fully releases its reward after you refuse to quit.
Austere perseverance, harsh and continuous rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly with ti… Continue

Well, I must say right off that if you are newer to the internet like (2 years or less), you probably won't get the flu shot and or eat at KFC Kentucky Fried Chicken etc etc. There are numerous sites on the internet that gain significant awareness from newer gullible viewers expressing legends and myths about products and or services.
I have been travelling though North America for the last 30 years. I average about 60,000 air miles and approximately 25,000 road miles. I am immunized by a yearly… Continue
I WONDER IF ANY REPUBLICANS HAVE A CONSCIENCE?
Swine flu still runs wild across the country. Canadians continue to die. We are still experiencing shortage of vaccine at clinics across the Country.
But, wait, In Calgary some hockey team and families were able sneak in ahead of the needy and be vaccinated. Clinics later had to close due to shortages.
Now aren’t there some powerful Republican Cabinet Ministers or something that come from Calgary?
Then in Toronto A hockey & Basket Ball team als… Continue

Windsor Firefighters Host ChiliFest at the Windsor Armories
Winter weather is in the air, we have turned back our clocks, the Detroit River shipping traffic is slowing and the leaves are falling from the trees. The spectacular fall colours were wonderful again this year with the bright reds of the soft maples shining against the bright blue skys in the background. I took in the Chili Festival at the Windsor Armories hosted by the Firefighters Association. Lunch was only $7 and 50 restaurants p… Continue

I just want to thank all of you for your educational emails over the past year. I am totally screwed up now and have little or no chance of recovery.
I no longer open a public bathroom door without using a paper towel or have them put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying about the bacteria on the lemon peel.
I can't use the remote in a hotel room because I don't know what the last person was doing while flipping through the adult movie channels.
I can't sit down on the hotel bedsprea… Continue

A woman went up to the bar in a quiet rural pub. She gestured
alluringly to the bartender who approached her immediately. She
seductively signaled that he should bring his face closer to hers.
As he did, she gently caressed his full beard.
'Are you the manager?' she asked, softly stroking his face with
both hands.
'Actually, no,' he replied.
'Can you get him for me ? I need to speak to him,' she said, running
her hands beyond his beard and into his hair.
'I'm afraid I can't,' breathed the ba… Continue

As anyone who has spent five minutes with me knows, I am passionate about skiing. I use it as a teaching metaphor for leaders and leadership, and I know of few other activities that, for me at least, can equal such a profound sense of ONEness.
In Rudi Miick’s blog, he describes a book by Rick Phipps called Skiing Zen. He tells a story from the book in which Phipps meets a sensei / monk, of whom he is permitted to ask just one question. Rick asks a question about sports through a translator:

We are in the middle of a serious Pandemic. Our Prime Minister rose in the House of Commons and promised Canadians There would be enough vaccine for everyone. The problem is that they (the Republicans) took their own sweet time in ordering the serums.
The Swine Flu is running through the country and now because of a shortage clinics in some Provinces are forced to close due a shortage .This is after hundreds stood in line for hours.
What the Hell happen to “enough”, for everybody? Well, how many… Continue

Having just elected a new President last Jan--of whom I voted, it is now my sad duty to announce--the country was snookered. The country has been put into so much debt, it will take my Granddaughters years just to help pay this debt off; they are trying to push thru a Health Care Bill, which willlallow Gov interference into whom you can see as a Dr. what expenses will or will not be covered and they want to cut our Medicare by 500,000.

BE AWARE!!! - NEVER KNOW WHEN SOMEONE'S WATCHING YOU!!!
Everyone loves a good ghost story, right? Especially on Halloween Eve. Well, my story begins at St. Francis High School, located on the shores of Lake Erie in Athol Springs (Hamburg), NY, where I spent almost 4 years as Janitorial Supervisor. With a crew of 8 cleaning up after 638 boys, the job is very stressful. During my first year there, I was told by several teachers & staffers that the school was haunted. Intrigued by this I asked… Continue

REMINDER TO ALL BILLS FANS THAT 50 YEARS AGO TODAY WAS A BIG DAY!!!
October 28, 1959 - Was the day that the American Football League granted its 7th franchise to Buffalo with Ralph C. Wilson, Jr, as principal owner.
The 50th season of Bills football and all that the team has accomplished over the 5 decades prior has to be traced back to its day, cause without it, none of it happens in Buffalo.
Got my tickets for the November 29th game against the Dolphins. Haven't been to a game since 1993, w… Continue
