The “Afghanistan Case” continues to be a controversial issue among the peoples of the countries involved in that quagmire. Many Canadian families saw their sons and daughters leave their homes to die in that far away land. And what for ?
Some Canadians, seemingly, still believe in Santa Claus and this believe extends into believing that “the West” is fighting in Afghanistan to deliver Afghans from the Taliban yoke, to liberate women from an archaic and cruel traditional system, build schools fo…

I have a few interested individuals but we need to complete an executive board before we go any further. If you are interested and would like to learn more about this venture, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I have an alter-ego - Biff McGruff. With Biff I wote the lyrics and produced a CD Album this year - Flat Out, available on Itunes, Amazon, CD Baby and Garage band. Scott Maynard supplied a lot of the musical talent and made it special. We are hoping to do a CD launch at Hugh`s room, but we need to find a versatile band to perform the music as Scott is unavailable. CD Baby link is

Sometimes it helps to be reminded of how things were. Five years ago, New
Brunswick residents who entered nursing homes were treated very unfairly.
Daily rates were different all over the province and ranged as high as $180
per day. Couples were required to use their joint incomes and assets to
cover these costs. It was different in our province from most other parts
of Canada. The policies at that time caused great hardship for many New
Brunswickers.
As more residents realized how unfair this w…

With the Parliamentary Inquiry going on about Prisoners of War Torture. We have heard from on Diplomat we will hear from career Generals and at least one more Career Diplomat.
All who have Careers Pensions and other interests to protect.
Will we hear from foot soldiers present and former who were on the ground and seeing things first hand.
They may not have careers and pensions to protect. They basically have nothing to loose.
Will we be searching for their letters and emails to their immediate…

Positively frustrated
When you feel the need to feel frustration, go ahead and be fully frustrated. Then, be done with it and get on with making positive progress.
Though frustration can feel awful, it is not entirely a bad thing. Because frustration shines a light on your positive passions.
The only people who are never frustrated are people who never attempt anything. When you're committed to creating rea…

Happy Christmas to ALL troops serving Afghanistan & Irag - Grab the tissues!!!
'A SOLDIER'S SILENT NIGHT' by Father Ted
T'was the night before Christmas
He lived all alone,
in a one bedroom house
made of plaster and stone.
I had come down the chimney
with presents to give
To see just who,
in this dwelling did live.
I looked all around
A strange sight to see
No tinsel, no presents,
Not even a tree.
No stockings on the mantel
Just boots filled with sand
On the wall hung p…

Chairman and Board
Sir, now, the ball is, in your court.
After my last of, many letters about Bell Canada Service. I was again complaining about the lack of HIGH SPEED AND/OR WIRELESS HIGH SPEED INTERNT in our area.
Sir, I talked to many Executives at Bell and the answer for High Speed was NO! Although, they did not put that in writing!
They have, “NO PLANS FOR HIGH SPEED IN THIS AREA FOR, YEARS!”
Even though Mr. Chairman all summer they flew Choppers over our ho…

The mind's first step to self-awareness must be through the body.

To Lose Weight, Turn On Your Radar
How I eat determines how much I eat far more than I would like to admit. That’s why I try to avoid—sometimes successfully, sometimes not—what I refer to as “beneath the radar” eating.
Unless I pay attention, this type of eating won’t show up in my daily food journal. Examples include enjoying a bite or two of whatever I am cooking while standing at the kitchen counter, nibbling…

Pirate Radio is BOGUS, says Keith Hampshire who served on-board as a dee-jay aboard ‘Radio Caroline’, the private radio station on a ship England’s North Sea, serving Rock’n'Roll music to Britain’s youth in the 1960s.
Later becoming a major Canadian star with hits like ‘First Cut is the Deepest’, ‘Daytime, Nightime’, ‘Big Time Operator’ and the classic Toronto anthem ‘OK Blue Jays’, Hampshire was onboard ‘Radio Caroline’ from 1966 to 1967, the subject of a new movie called ‘Pirate Radio’ (origi…

On November 11, 2009 Ivy Anne Voth was born. Our daughter was the lucky mom along with her husband Darrel Voth, the dad. Lucky is two ways. This honours the couple with two beautiful daughters Bliss and Ivy Anne. The other honour is that Ivy Anne was born on their anniversary. We, Goldie and Bruce Draper are honoured with four granddaughters now, two by our other daughter Jill and her husband Darryl Cadarette We are not pleased but we are overwhelmed with a tremendous joy only grandparents could…

Prime Minister Harper just did the greatest thing for
Canada he has ever done.
He left the Country for about a month. He wont be back until sometime in December.
I was wondering though.
Is he really globe hopping with out a Swine Flu shot.
I mean I don’t think he qualified to get one early.
Or, was the House of Commons, among the rich people, who just happen to be able to jump to the head of the line.

The highest spiritual path is life itself. If you know how to live daily life, it all becomes a liberating experience. But first you have to approach life properly, or it can be very confusing. To begin with, you have to realize that you really only have one choice in this life, and it's not about your career, whom you want to marry, or wheth…
